原田ゼミでは、教育学部英語英文学科の学生以外でも、英語教育に対する情熱・応用言語学分野への関心・分厚い英文テキストを読める体力がある方は聴講生として参加できる場合があります（単位にはなりません）。2021年度で2人の聴講生が参加しています。正規ゼミ生の人数によって、参加の可否が変わる場合がありますが、ご関心のある方は一度ご連絡ください。
